Your Tasks

• Ongoing bookkeeping: accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries
• Dunning process and monitoring of outstanding items
• Preparation and participation in monthly closings
• Preparation of annual financial statements and collaboration with the tax advisor
• Project-related billing and allocation of costs/revenues to projects
• Reconciliation of accounts, bank, and cash
• Fixed asset accounting, depreciation
• Document verification, digitization, and organization of documentation
• Creation of evaluations, reports, and ad-hoc analyses for management
• Control and compliance with tax requirements, VAT advance return, etc.
• Participation in the further development of accounting processes and tools

Your Qualifications

• Completed business training with a focus on financial accounting or bookkeeping, e.g., tax clerk, industrial clerk with further training in accounting, or certified accountant (IHK)
• Several years of professional experience (at least 5 years) in financial accounting, ideally in a small or medium-sized company
• In-depth knowledge of accounts receivable, accounts payable, asset, and bank accounting
• Experience in preparing monthly financial statements and annual financial statements for tax advisors or auditors
• Confident use of DATEV accounting software
• Knowledge of sales tax law and the preparation of sales tax returns
• Good MS Office skills, especially Excel
• Structured, independent, and responsible way of working
• Reliability, ability to work in a team, and a strong understanding of numbers
• Very good written and spoken German, basic English skills desirable
